Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom played the part of Legolas in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterpiece. He spent 18 months in New Zealand bringing his Legolas character to life, though he was almost unrecognisable with a blonde wig and blue contact lenses disguising his dark features.

The role of Legolas the Elf put Orlando’s name firmly in lights, and he went on to star in numerous blockbuster Hollywood movies before returning to Middle Earth in The Hobbit movie trilogy, the prequel to the Lord of the Rings series. “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” is the third film in the series, and sees Orlando reprising his Legolas character for the final time.
