Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated with an eclectic mix of everyday folks and lovable lunatics, "Gilmore Girls" is a humorous multigenerational series about friendship, family and the ties that bind. Thirtysomething Lorelai Gilmore has made her share of mistakes in life, but she has been doing her best to see that her college-bound daughter - and best friend in the world - Rory, doesn't follow in her footsteps. That may be easier said than done, considering that the two share the same interests, the same intellect, the same coffee addiction and the same eyes.
01 - New and Improved Lorelai
Thirtysomething Lorelai Gilmore (series star LAUREN GRAHAM) and coffee shop owner Luke Danes (series star SCOTT PATTERSON) begin making plans for their future, but Luke is embarrassed when word spreads that Lorelai was the one who proposed marriage. Still hurt that her daughter, Rory (series star ALEXIS BLEDEL), has decided to drop out of Yale and move in with Lorelai's proper, old-money parents, Emily (series star KELLY BISHOP) and Richard (series star EDWARD HERRMANN), Lorelai tells them that they can take care of Rory from now on. Although Richard hires a respected attorney and longtime friend to help Rory get an easy sentence for stealing the yacht, a judge orders Rory to serve 300 hours of community service. Rory's boyfriend from Yale, Logan Huntzberger (series star MATT CZUCHRY), hosts a "felon party" for Rory.
Series star LIZA WEIL plays Rory's intense former Yale roommate Paris Geller; series star YANIC TRUESDALE plays haughty inn concierge Michel Gerard; and series star SEAN GUNN plays Kirk, the town's jack-of-all-trades and master of none.
Not appearing in this episode are series star MELISSA McCARTHY as fabulous chef Sookie St. James and series star KEIKO AGENA as Rory's friend Lane Kim.
