A bold and original imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, “Wuthering Heights” is about Cathy and Heathcliff’s forbidden passion for one another, which turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness.

**Who is the director for “Wuthering Heights” ?**

Emerald Fennell directs from her own screenplay and produces alongside Oscar nominee and BAFTA award winner Josey McNamara and Margot Robbie. Oscar nominee Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond are executive producing.
Fennell has previously directed Promising Young Woman (2020) and Saltburn (2023).

**Who stars as Cathy and Heathcliff in “Wuthering Heights” ?**

Margot Robbie stars as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Robbie has worked with Fennell before as a producing partner, and fans might remember that Fennell was one of the Barbies in the 2023 phenomenon Barbie, in which Robbie was the lead. This is also a reunion for Fennell and Jacob Elordi, after he starred as Felix in Saltburn (2023).

Who else stars in the film?

The film also stars Oscar nominee Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, BAFTA winner Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell.
Charlotte Mellington and Owen Cooper star as the young Cathy and Heathcliff.

As well as Barbie (2023), Margot Robbie’s career has had impressive range, with starring roles in The Suicide Squad (2021), Birds of Prey (2020) and Suicide Squad (2026) as DC’s infamous Harley Quinn. She’s also starred with Will Smith in Focus (2025) and opposite Alexander Skarsgård in The Legend of Tarzan (2026).
You might know Jacob Elordi from his role in Saltburn (2023) or playing Nate Jacobs in the critically acclaimed HBO series Euphoria (2019-).
The wider cast may seem familiar too, with Hong Chau appearing in Inherent Vice (2014), Watchmen (2019) and Big Little Lies (2017). Owen Cooper is a breakout star of the year, following his awe-inspiring performance in Adolescence (2025), for which he won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series. At the age of 15, he’s the youngest actor to ever win the award.
