Summary

Harry's Law Season 1

Emmy® Award-winning writer/producer David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, The Practice, Ally McBeal) weaves his rich storytelling into a new legal dramedy - starring Academy Award® winner Kathy Bates - about embracing the unexpected and everything life throws at you. Harriet Korn doesn't believe things happen for a reason. But they do. A curmudgeonly ex-patent lawyer, she is abruptly fired from her blue chip law firm and is forced to search for a fresh start.

She finds it when her world unexpectedly collides, literally, with Malcolm Davies, a good-hearted college student who desperately needs Harriet's help in court and subsequently goes to work for her. No sooner has she found her feet and new offices in an abandoned shoe store than legal hotshot Adam Branch accidentally hits her with his fully loaded BMW. Inspired by Harry's no-nonsense understanding of the law, Adam takes leave of his shiny corporate firm to help out. Now, these unlikely kindred spirits - with the help of Harriet's shoe-savant assistant, Jenna - are ready for whatever walks in through the doors of "Harry's Law and Fine Shoes.

Episode guide

  1. 01 - Pilot

It's 1986 in the series premiere, and four freshmen have just arrived on campus, ready to take on college life, but soon find themselves drawn to the Omega Sig house, where their guide Reno is ready to show them what fraternity life is all about. This fresh and funny comedy series from Walt Becker (Wild Hogs) and Michael LeSieur (You, Me and Dupree) also stars TIM MEADOWS as Professor Haines, a recently divorced, ultra-liberal teacher with a huge chip on his shoulder.

  2. 02 - Fake Me Home Tonight

The pledges are sent on a quest to wrangle a very specific birthday present for Stankowsky. But their adventure is going to be about far more than just finding the gift. Meanwhile, Reno tries to get closer to Professor Larsen (guest star TERI POLO), and Joel tries to smooth the awkward chemistry he has with Christie...as well as Professor Haines.

  3. 03 - Hungry Like Teen Wolf

As the pledges prepare for their first social event with the girls from Kappa Theta, Joel goes to Father Sullivan (guest star ANDY RICHTER) for advice on how to get his life back on track after his chaotic first three weeks at college. Eli gets in touch with his animal side. And the fraternity may have to endure an extremely strict faculty advisor, unless they can convince Professor Haines to take the job.

Father's Day weekend has arrived, and the boys are nervous about what their dads will think of their college activities -- especially when they all take part in an annual tailgating party.

  5. 05 - Why Shant This Be Love

While the boys prepare for the upcoming intramural flag football tournament, the Omega Sigs are brought to the brink of war against the Zeta Rhos over a series of pranks. Joel finds it increasingly difficult to juggle his many commitments -- especially after he starts working for the campus maintenance department.

  6. 06 - I Ram (So Far Away)

The Omega Sigs have to whip the house into shape quickly when they learn an advisor from the national chapter is coming for a visit. Meanwhile, the guys try to get tickets to see the popular group General Public.

  7. 07 - What's Love Got to Nude With It

Joel tries to shake his infatuation with Christie, but he winds up on a date from hell. 9. 09 - Hit Me With Your Test Shot

Joel jumps at the chance to share his class notes with Christie, but soon realizes it may have been a bad idea. Jason and Turbo bond over music, while Reno and Hector try to help with Professor Haines' marriage woes. And Eli meets a new girl.

  10. 10 - Some Like It Hot Tub

Joel and Christie wonder what their friendship with each other actually means. Professor Haines and Brother Jerrod (guest star JOHN MICHAEL HIGGINS) form an unlikely partnership. And the Omega Sigs throw a Mid-Semester Blowout.

  11. 11 - With Friends Like These

Harry defends an old colleague, Lou Drummond (guest star MARK L. TAYLOR), who murdered his business partner during a standoff in which both lawyers drew guns on each other. Meanwhile, Adam tries to gently break up with Chunhua after professing his undying love to Rachel. Elsewhere, Malcolm and Jenna try to find balance in their fledgling romance.

  12. 12 - Last Dance

Adam and Rachel reluctantly team up to represent death row inmate Brian Jones (guest star QUINTON AARON) only to realize that his appeal may be jeopardized by a clerical error. Fresh off his courtroom striptease/breakdown, Josh Peyton's bizarre behavior worsens when he is charged with assault and breaking and entering after playing house in Sarah Green's home and bed.
