Jim Parsons and Allison Janney win an Emmy

Congratulations to Jim Parsons and Allison Janney on their Emmy wins. 

The 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards were held August 25th in Los Angeles and Jim Parsons and Allison Janney both won an Emmy. 

Janney took home the first major acting award of the night, in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy, for her role as Bonnie Plunkett in Mom. "This is an amazing honour, thank you. Number six, let's go," she said during her acceptance speech.

Janney beat out Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory), Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Anna Chlumsky (Veep), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) and Kate Mulgrew (Orange Is the New Black) in the Best Supporting Comedy Actress category.

The Big Bang Theory star Parsons was crowned an Emmy for Oustanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, giving him is fourth Emmy. During his acceptance speech Parsons thanks his late father and his fellow nominees; Louis C.K. (Louie), Don Cheadle (House of Lies), Ricky Gervais (Derek), Matt LeBlanc (Episodes) and William H. Macy (Shameless).

"To say that I watch your work and I feel inspired is a bit of an understatement. I watch you work and see you people doing things I couldn't do... All of us doing different things that I do pray to do one day."
