From Emmy® Award winners Christopher Chulack (ER) and John Wells (ER) comes a raw and authentic look at a police unit in Los Angeles. From the hills of Hollywood to the streets of East L.A., Southland is an intense, fast-moving drama that takes you inside the lives of cops, criminals, victims and their families.
Last season saw veteran Los Angeles cop John Cooper increasingly dependent on painkillers, jeopardizing his ability to mentor and properly train rookie officer Ben Sherman. Cooper was given an ultimatum: Get help or get turned in. Meanwhile, Detective Lydia Adams, a seasoned officer, finally made steps to advance her oft-left-behind personal life - but at the cost of losing her partner's trust. And, in a shocking turn of events, gang detective Sammy Bryant was left reeling from the sudden and brutal murder of his partner; after witnessing the birth of his son with his estranged wife, Bryant made the decision to leave the gang taskforce and rejoin the ranks of uniformed cops. As the acclaimed series continues for season four, Bryant and Sherman are partnered together to patrol and protect the streets of L.A., where anything can - and does - happen.
