Experienced television, film and theatre actress Sarah Paulson brings her natural beauty and innate acting ability to the cast of "Jack & Jill." Born in Tampa, Florida, Paulson grew up in New York and Maine before settling in Manhattan to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. Although she began studying drama at the age of nine, her first actual foray into acting came at the age of 12 in the off-Broadway production of "Amerlia Again" at the Open Eye Theater in New York. During her hiatus from "Jack & Jill," Paulson filmed "What Women Want," in which she stars opposite Mel Gibson. She starred in the Garry Marshall film "The Other Sister" with Diane Keaton and Juliette Lewis. In the film, Paulson plays a young lesbian forging her identity from the shadows of her domineering mother, portrayed by Keaton. Paulson made her feature debut in the independent film "Levitation" and also starred opposite Jamie Foxx in "Held Up." She starred in the Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie "The Long Way Home," with Jack Lemmon. Additional television credits include a starring role on the critically acclaimed drama series "American Gothic," in which she portrayed Caleb's (Lucas Black) sister, murder victim Merlyn Temple, who appeared to Caleb in visions and tried to help him. She also had a recurring role on "Law & Order," made guest-starring appearances on "Cracker," with Robert Pastorelli, and starred in the television movies "Shaughnessy" and "Friends At Last." Onstage, Paulson received rave reviews for her performance in "Killer Joe," an off-Broadway production also starring Scott Glenn and Amanda Plummer. She also appeared in the Broadway production of Wendy Wasserstein's Tony Award-winning "The Sisters Rosenzweig" at the Barrymore Theater, the off-Broadway production of "Talking Pictures" and the regional productions of "Stalin's Daughter," "Ashes, Ashes," "Alert the Media," "Does Anyone Hear Me?," "The Penitent Madeline," "Best Friends" and "An Evening of One Acts."
