An accomplished dancer, actress Jaime Pressly displays her natural talent portraying an aspiring Broadway dancer in "Jack & Jill." Pressly stars as the female lead in the feature film "Ticker," opposite Dennis Hopper, Steven Seagal, Tom Sizemore and Kevin Gage. Other recent projects include Columbia Pictures' "The Adventures of Joe Dirt," with David Spade, and "Tomcats," alongside Jerry O'Connell, Shannon Elizabeth and Jake Busey. Born in Kinston, North Carolina, Pressly grew up as a tomboy while learning to water ski, fix motorboats, catch and clean fish and compete with her much older brother. Her mom, a highly accomplished classical dance instructor who trains current and future Joffrey students, put an early claim on her daughter's innate athleticism by teaching her ballet, tap and jazz and encouraging her towards gymnastics, cheerleading and baton. At age 13, Pressly registered with a local modeling agency and began working steadily. She submitted a photo to an international teen modeling agency and, by age 14, her face began to appear on the cover of several prestigious adolescent magazines. She quickly became the spokesperson for her agency, International Cover Model Search, and work took her to Tokyo and Milan, where she lived for two months each. Audiences will recognize her from her role in the Jerry Springer mock-documentary feature film "Ringmaster," in which she starred as teen vixen Angel, and the hit teen comedy "Can't Hardly Wait." Her other big-screen credits include "Coyote Moon," with Jean-Claude Van Damme, and the independent films "Trash" and "The Journey: Absolution." She currently appears in "Poor White Trash," with Jason London and Sean Young. On the small screen, Pressly starred as a former gymnast on the series "Push" and had a recurring role on the syndicated drama "Mortal Kombat Conquest." Living just outside of Los Angeles, Pressly spends her time, when not working, with friends who share her love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, horseback riding and swimming. She also continues to dance, as she has for the past 18 years. Gardening, cooking, reading and buying antique furniture are among her other passions.
